ETH · Live tokenomics

ETH supply, straight from the blockchain.

A live look at Ethereum’s tokenomics: how much ETH exists, how much is burned, and whether the total is growing or shrinking.

These numbers come straight from the Ethereum blockchain, read and published by ultrasound.money. Nobody is guessing here. It is the public record, refreshed about every minute.

Burn vs issuance, simply

Two taps on one bucket

Issuance is the tap filling the bucket. Every day the network creates new ETH to pay validators, the computers that keep Ethereum secure.

Burn is the drain. Every transaction pays a base fee, and that fee is destroyed for good. More activity on the network means more ETH burned.

If the tap runs faster than the drain, supply grows: inflationary. If the drain wins, supply shrinks: deflationary. The badge on the box shows which one is winning over the last 30 days.

“Issuance per day” on the box is an estimate. It is worked out as supply change plus burn, so it is labeled “est.”

What to watch

The badge. Did it flip between Inflationary and Deflationary? That tells you which side of the bucket is winning.

The yearly growth rate. Compare the 7-day and 30-day “%/yr” numbers. Are they moving closer to zero or further from it?

Burn over 24 hours vs 30 days. A jump in burn usually means the network got busier. Fees rose, so more ETH was destroyed.

Since the Merge. This is the long view: what has happened to supply since Ethereum switched to Proof of Stake in September 2022.

This data helps you track ETH’s tokenomics over time and notice patterns. It does not tell you what happens next. Predicting is hard, and nothing here is a price prediction.

Patterns, not prophecies

“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.”

Often attributed to Mark Twain, but there is no solid evidence he said it. The earliest known close match is from psychoanalyst Theodor Reik (1965). Source: Quote Investigator.

That is the spirit of this page: watch the record, notice when things rhyme, and stay humble about the future.
